IMPORTANT NOTICES

Please note that participants are expected to attend the entire conference. The Organizing Committee might exclude participants who do not meet this requirement.

As detailed below, the Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture (EMFCSC) manages all accommodation arrangements directly. The Centre does not rely on any third-party agencies to provide accommodation. Any communication claiming otherwise should be considered fraudulent.

 

ONLINE REGISTRATION

To register, you must have an account on sciencesconf.org (see below).

If you have already an account on sciencesconf.org: Go to the conference website and log in with your username and password.

If you do not have an account on sciencesconf.org yet: Fill the account creation form, and click on the activation link you will then receive by e-mail. Go to the conference website and log in with your username and password.

The deadline for registration is May 15.

Registrations will be accepted until the maximum number (120) of participants is reached.

 

CONTRIBUTING AN ABSTRACT (TALK OR POSTER)

To submit a contribution, you must have an account on sciencesconf.org (see above).

The contribution has to be transmitted by clicking on "My submissions" (top right corner).

The deadline for submitting a contribution is May 15.

All participants may present a poster. We plan to organize a lightning round of poster introductions. We also plan to select a limited number of abstracts for contributed talks of approximately 20 minutes.

Whether a contribution is assigned as a talk or a poster will be notified as soon as possible.

 

CONFERENCE FEE

The total registration fee amounts to 825 EUR (5 nights × EUR 165 per night). Accompanying persons are required to pay the same registration fee, except for children under the age of 12. This registration fee covers:

(1) Accommodation (in a hotel or a former monastery, etc.);

(2) All daily meals (for each lunch and dinner, you simply select a restaurant from a list and then go directly to the venue, without needing a reservation);

(3) Coffee breaks;

(4) Social dinner;

(5) Marsala wine and Sicilian almond pastries every evening in the “Marsala Room”;

(6) Guided conference excursion;

(7) Transfers to and from Palermo or Trapani airports on the first (arrival) and last (departure) days of the conference, namely July 23 and July 28.

Participants must be lodged in one of the structures provided by EMFCSC, that is, in the old monasteries of S. Rocco or S. Francesco, and only if the previous ones are fully booked, in hotels. (In the latter case, the EMFCSC will handle the hotel booking directly.) Young participants might be asked to share a room.

(1) You must include the correct reference as shown above. Missing or incorrect references may lead to administrative issues;

BOOKING YOUR ACCOMODATION AND AIRPORT TRANSFER

Registration should be performed after you have bought your flight ticket. Its main purpose is to book your accomodation at the Majorana Centre and the airport transfer (from either Palermo or Trapani airport). Please be sure that the info you provide is accurate and complete.
